The Truth About Aging as a Gay Man

Aging as a gay man is often treated as a slow disappearance, especially by younger men who fear turning thirty as if it were an expiration date. But age changes desire, attention and nightlife in ways that are far more complicated, and often far less tragic, than they imagine.

Aging does not make life disappear. But it can bring a quiet confidence, clear desires, and the freedom to be yourself.

Last month a friend convinced me to go to a gay bar! (honestly, I almost never do that these days). I was drinking a beer while I saw a twink next to me looking at a man across the bar.
